For the control and treatment of the following cattle diseases when caused by one or more of the following pathogenic organisms susceptible to sulfamethazine:
- Bacterial pneumonia and bovine respiratory disease   complex (shipping fever complex) (Pasteurella spp.)
- Colibacillosis (bacterial scours) (E. coli)
- Calf diphtheria (F. necrophorum)

Sulmet 12.5% solution and soluble powder control and treat:
- Necrotic pododermatitis (foot rot) (F. necrophorum)
- Acute Metritis and Mastitis (Streptococcus spp.) in beef   cattle
