Sulmet® (sulfamethazine sodium)
For the control and treatment of the following cattle diseases when caused by one or more of the following pathogenic organisms susceptible to sulfamethazine:
- Bacterial pneumonia and bovine respiratory disease
complex (shipping fever complex) (Pasteurella spp.)
- Colibacillosis (bacterial scours) (E. coli)
- Calf diphtheria (F. necrophorum)
Sulmet® 12.5% solution and soluble powder control and treat:
- Necrotic pododermatitis (foot rot) (F. necrophorum)
- Acute Metritis and Mastitis (Streptococcus spp.) in beef
cattle

Sulmet Oblets
Do not treat cattle for at least 10 days before slaughter. Exceeding five consecutive doses may cause violative tissue residue to remain beyond the withdrawal time. Do no use in calves under one month of age or in veal calves. Do not use in female dairy cattle 20 months of age or older. Excessive dosage may cause toxic reactions.

Sulmet Drinking Water Solution
Cattle: Do not treat for at least 10 days before slaughter. Exceeding five consecutive doses may cause violative tissue residue to remain beyond the withdrawal time. Do not use in calves under one month of age or in veal calves. Do not use in female dairy cattle 20 months of age or older.
Chickens and turkeys: Do not medicate chickens or turkeys producing eggs for human consumption. Do not treat for at least 10 days before slaughter.
Swine: Do not treat for at least 15 days before slaughter.
Excessive dosage may cause toxic reactions. Hatchability of eggs laid during medication with sulfas, and for short periods thereafter, may be adversely affected.
